The Japanese Air Self-Defense Force Boeing 747 will visit Hannover, Paris, Brussels, and Rome between March 19th and March 21st, 2017, as part of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s Europe tour.
The aircraft is expected to depart Tokyo Haneda airport on March 19th. It will arrive in Hannover later that day where the Prime Minister will attend a technology trade fair to which he was invited by German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
On March 20th, he will fly from Hannover to Paris, where he will meet with French President Francois Hollande.
The following day, on March 21st, he will fly to Brussels where he will visit the European Union headquarters. The same day, he will continue to Rome where he will briefly meet with Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni before continuing back to Tokyo.
While I am not sure what the flight times will be, the tour should give European spotters a chance to photograph the 747. If you happen to live around one of those cities, you should try to capture the aircraft, as it will be replaced by the 777-300 in 2019.
If you happen to get a photo of the aircraft during the tour, feel free to share a link with us.
