A couple of days ago, Mandarin Airlines announced that it would start direct flights between Taichung in Taiwan and Tokyo Narita airport in Japan in June 2018.
AE266/267: Taichung – Tokyo Narita and Back
Flights between the two cities will start operating on June 14, and will operate daily with the following schedule:
- AE266 from Taichung to Tokyo NRT: depart at 7:30AM, arrive at 12:00PM
- AE267 from Taichung to Tokyo NRT: depart at 1:00PM, arrive at 3:50PM
According to Aviation Wire, a Japanese aviation news portal, the flights will be operated as regular charters until July 13, 2018, when they will become true scheduled flights. And, the flights will open for booking on April 12, 2018.
The flights will be operated by Embraer ERJ-190 aircraft of which Mandarin Airlines operates six.
While Mandarin Airlines’ parent company – China Airlines – already connects Tokyo with Taiwan’s capital, Taipei, several times a day, the new flights will be the first time for Taichung to be directly connected with the Japanese capital.
