On October 4, 2017, Eurowings – an LCC subsidiary of Lufthansa – started an interesting campaign in which it lets the general public choose its next destination.
Now that there is less than ten hours until the end of voting, the winner is more or less decided. However, you can still cast your vote here – if for nothing else, then to have a (remote) chance of winning a pair of tickets to the new destination.
Eurowings Vote and Fly
In the voting, Eurowings is offering people the chance to vote for one of ten destinations throughout Europe – as listed in the screenshot below.
There is a 30-second promotional video for each of the destinations that you can use to guide your voting. And, actually, that is the part I like about this campaign the most – many of the cities are not that well known, and so this campaign will bring some extra awareness to those destinations even if they don’t get chosen.
Once you cast your vote, you will be shown the voting progress and given the option to sign up – enter your name and email – for the contest in which you can win a pair of tickets to the new destinations.
The Next Eurowings Destination: Mostar… Or Trapani?
As you can see above, given that there is less than 10 hours left in the voting, Mostar is very likely going to become the next Eurowings’ destination.
And, if not Mostar, the only other reasonable contender at this point is Trapani.
While I voted for Brac as I really like Croatia (I used to go there a lot as a kid), at this point I hope Mostar in Bosnia-Herzegovina wins the contest. After all, Trapani in Sicilia in Italy already gets plenty of attention from Ryanair!
Which of the ten cities would you like to visit the most?
