Air Seoul to Launch Double Daily Flights to Osaka Kansai and Daily Flights to Tokyo Narita

Starting on September 12, 2017, the Korean low-cost carrier Air Seoul will launch double daily flights between Seoul Incheon and Osaka Kansai. Following that, on October 31, 2017, it will also launch a route to Tokyo Narita. The routes will become the airline’s 9th and 10th destinations in Japan.

Air Seoul, Its Presence in Japan, and the New Flights

Air Seoul is a 100% subsidiary of Asiana Airlines and operates a fleet of four Airbus A321 aircraft. While large parts of its route network connects South Korea with Japan, the airline also operates routes to Macau, Siem Reap in Cambodia, and Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia.

Furthermore, Air Seoul also plans to launch flights to Guam on September 12, and to Hong Kong on October 31, 2017 on top of the new routes to Japan as well.

As for Japan, it currently operates flights eight regional airports: Hiroshima, Kumamoto, Nagasaki, Shizuoka, Takamatsu, Toyama, Yamaguchi Ube, and Yonago. As such, the new flights to Narita and Kansai will be the first two routes of the airline into Japan’s main metropolitan areas.

The Air Seoul’s Incheon to Osaka Kansai flight will operate twice a day, starting on September 12, 2017. The two flights will operate at times varying based on the day of the week as follows:

  • RS762 from Seoul Incheon to Osaka Kansai: depart at 7:20AM, arrive at 9:10AM
  • RS761 from Osaka Kansai to Seoul Incheon: depart at 10:10AM, arrive at 12:00PM

The fares start at 30,000 Korean won (approx. 27 USD) one-way without taxes and surcharges. With that, round trips start at 119,100 Korean won (approx. 105 USD) all in.

Air Seoul Osaka Kansai

Air Seoul Flights 752/751: Seoul Incheon to Tokyo Narita

The Seoul Incheon to Tokyo Narita flights will begin on October 31, 2017, and will operate once a day. They will operate at the same time each day as follows:

  • RS752 from Seoul Incheon to Tokyo Narita: depart at 10:00AM, arrive at 12:10PM
  • RS763 from Osaka Kansai to Seoul Incheon: depart at 1:30PM, arrive at 4:10PM

One way flights start at 60,000 Korean won (approx. 54 USD) excluding taxes and surcharges. And, the cheapest roundtrips come up to 174,800 Korean won (approx. 155 USD) roundtrip all in.

Air Seoul Narita

While several airlines already operate between both Seoul and Osaka, and Seoul and Tokyo, Air Seoul will be a welcome addition in the market – both for people having to travel between the cities, as well as for spotters based at the two major Japanese airports.
