XW101/102: Bangkok Don Muang – Tokyo Narita and Back

The new NokScoot flights between the Thai capital and Tokyo Narita airport will operate daily starting on June 1, 2018, with the following schedule:

  •
  •

The route will be operated by NokScoot’s sole aircraft type, the Boeing 777-200ER, each of which is equipped with 24 ScootBiz business class seats and 391 economy class seats.

Not the First Airline to Connect the Two Airports

While the new scheduled route (some years ago, NokScoot used to operate regular charters to Narita) will certainly be a welcome competition on the route, NokScoot will not be the first airline to connect the two airports.

Currently, NokScoot’s shareholder, Scoot, connects Bangkok Don Muang to Tokyo Narita daily with the flights originating in the airline’s base in Singapore. And, the two airlines’ biggest competitor, AirAsia X – or better its subsidiary Thai AirAsia X – connects the two airports three times a day.

Separately, the three major carriers from Japan and Thailand – ANA, JAL, and Thai Airways – connect Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport with both of Tokyo’s airports multiple times a day.
